Getting Started
Yes. The free tier is permanently free — no trial period, no credit card, no catch. You get the core platform — roster management, ORBAT, forum, member transfers, notifications, theming, broadcast, and modpack tools — for up to 20 members. Higher-tier modules and larger member caps unlock as you upgrade.
Registering and provisioning your instance takes under five minutes. After sign-up you'll receive your subdomain and can start configuring your unit straight away — no installation, no server management, no technical knowledge required.
GUMP is a hosted unit management platform for military simulation communities. It runs as a web application your unit accesses through a browser — no downloads needed. It covers everything from roster and ORBAT management to awards, operations, documents, a forum, and a full admin suite. Think of it as your unit's private command platform.
Yes. GUMP supports CSV import for member data. Your admin panel includes an import tool that maps your existing spreadsheet columns to the platform fields. We can also help with bulk imports for larger units — just contact us.
Plans & Pricing
Plans differ on both member cap and which modules are unlocked:

Free — up to 20 members. Core modules: roster, ORBAT, forum, transfers, notifications, theming, broadcast, modpack. Subdomain included.
Tier 1 — up to 50 members. Adds: LOA, disciplines, operations, attendance tracking, radio matrix.
Tier 2 — up to 150 members. Adds: documents, awards, qualifications, media library. Priority support included.
Tier 3 — up to 400 members. Adds: analytics, custom domain support. Priority support included.
Tier 4 — unlimited members. Full platform, dedicated support.
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. If your active member count exceeds your new plan's cap, you'll be prompted to manage your roster before the change completes.
The Founders Edition is a limited-quantity licence available at a discounted rate, granting full access to every feature on the platform at the highest tier — unlimited members, priority support, and your unit listed permanently as a founding group. It can be purchased on a monthly, yearly, or lifetime basis. Once the cap is reached it will not be offered again. Check the pricing page for current availability.
You can cancel at any time. Your instance stays active until the end of the billing period you've paid for. After that, your account drops to the free tier — your data is never deleted automatically. You can export everything via the admin panel at any point.
Instances & Subdomains
Each group gets a subdomain under gump-hosting.com — for example, yourunit.gump-hosting.com. Tier 3 and above can also use a custom domain (e.g. portal.yourunit.com) once DNS is configured — contact support to set this up.
Yes. Each group runs as a separate instance — your data is isolated from other groups on the platform. There is no shared database, no shared roster, and no way for members of other units to access your content.
GUMP targets high availability for all hosted instances. Planned maintenance is announced in advance on our Discord. If your instance experiences unexpected downtime, contact support and we'll resolve it as quickly as possible. We're transparent about incidents — nothing gets hidden.
Yes. Automated daily backups are included for all instances. Your admin panel includes a restore tool you can use yourself. You can also export your data as JSON or CSV at any time from the admin panel. Your data always belongs to your unit.

We aim to respond to all support requests within 24 hours. Paid plan subscribers receive priority support and are typically answered more quickly. For urgent issues, Discord is the best channel — it's monitored more frequently than email.
Absolutely. Feature requests are welcome via Discord or the contact form. Once the platform reaches a certain revenue milestone, paying groups vote each quarter on which feature the community fund goes toward developing next. Your unit's voice shapes where GUMP goes — that's by design.
